So Matt, what sort of girls do you go for?
I don't really have a set type. If you start talking to someone and get on and they laigh at your jokes, that's great. I like it if someone's on the same wavelength as me. I like a girl that can make me laugh - a good sense of humour is very important.

Are you shy when it comes to asking girls out?
No, I'm quite confident. I don't see the point in being shy - shy guys get nothing.

Does it bother you if a girl knocks you back?
Obviously, I would prefer it if I didn't get knocked back, but it wouldn't ruin a night out. I'd just laugh about it.

What's the best way to get a girl's attention then?
Dancing's always good. Girls like a guy who can dance, don't they? We had to dance a lot in I Dream (Matt's old TV show) so we had serious training. I didn't pick up any tips though as it was choreographed. You'd look quite uncool if you did a whole dance routine when you were out!

When were you last chatted up?
It's been a while - actually, it was about two weeks ago. Girls do the whole, 'Oh, I really like your jeans - where did you get them from?' thing. They initiate things that way. If I tried to do that, it'd be a bit strange!

What could a girl do to make you blush?
That's a tricky one. If she said something that meant a lot to her, like if she declared her love for me and I didn't feel the same, that'd make me blush.

Have you ever embarrassed yourself in front of a girl?
I'm sure I must have tripped over in front of a girl - I am quite clumsy. Oh, and I bumped into a friend once, but I couldn't remember the name of the girl I was with! I had to introduce them, but I couldn't think of her name. I don't know how I got out of it. I think I was just rude and didn't introduce her.

Tell us about your first kiss...
I don't really remember my first kiss, it must have been ages ago. I think I was about 13 or 14 and it was probably at a school disco. It's not that I've had so many kisses I can't remember them, I've just got a bad memory!

What's the best, kissing or hugging?
I like a good old hug. Yeah, I am quite fond of a hug. I think everyone needs a hug at some point.

What's the most romantic thing you've ever done for a girl?
One Valentine's Day, when I was about 17, I made dinner for a girl and put candles on the table. I made - you're gonna be so impressed with this - chicken fajitas, ha, ha! I can't believe I've remembered that. They tasted a bit funny, but she loved them.
